Department of Management Studies (DoMS) at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) part of the IIT Schools of Management, was established in 1998 to impart formal education in management science through a 2 year regular MBA programme, apart from Ph.D. in various disciplines. The MBA programme was launched by the primarily engineering institute to reflect the needs of present-day dynamic business and economic scenario and to enable its students to face the challenges of corporate world.

Course, Eligibility and Admission Procedure

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

• Course Duration: 2 Years, Full Time
• Number of Seats: 95
• Course Fees: INR 4 Lakh
• Course Affiliation: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur

Eligibility

A first class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a first class Master’s degree in Science (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level) or a first class Master’s degree in Economics or Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level) is eligible for admission.
Work experience doesn’t have any weightage in initial shortlisting for GD/PI. However, there is 5% weightage in the final selection.

Selection Procedure

CAT Score/GMAT (for NRIs), Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Criteria for Merit List:
• CAT Score 65%;
• Group Discussions 10%;
• Interview 20%;
• Work Experience 5%.
Last/Current Year Cut-offs: No, there is no sectional cutoff for admission to DoMS, IIT Roorkee.
