Tribhuvan Cooperative University (formerly known as IRMA)
Tribhuvan Cooperative University (TSU), formerly known as the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), is an autonomous university and business school located in the city of Anand, Gujarat.
IRMA was established in 1979 as a result of the work done by Verghese Kurien (Father of White Revolution) in dairy cooperatives.
It was established on the initiative of NDDB (National Dairy Development Board) and with the support of the Government of India, the Government of Gujarat and Swiss Development Cooperation.

Courses and Eligibility
1. Post-Graduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM/PGDRM)
- Course Duration: 2 Years, Full Time
- Number of Seats: 240
- Course Fees: ₹12 L (Indians), $40K (NRIs)
- Course Affiliation: AICTE Approved, (Autonomous Program)
Eligibility
Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD).
2. Fellow Program in Rural Management (FPRM)
- Course Duration: 3 Years, Full Time
- Number of Seats: NA
- Course Affiliation: AICTE Approved, (Autonomous Program)
- Course Fees: ₹1.2 Lakh
- Amount of Stipend: 16,000 per month
Eligibility
- Post graduation in any discipline with 55% marks, and 50% marks at graduation level or
- PRM from IRMA or
- Four-year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least three years work experience or
- Five-year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60% marks and at least one year work experience;
- Applicants who have valid score of UGC JRF (NET)/CSIR in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc); are eligible for admission to FPRM.
- SC/ST/OBC/dap (differently abled person) applicants are eligible for 5% relaxation.
Selection Procedure
- Stage I: Short-listing based on CAT/XAT/CMAT Scores
- Stage II:IWAT and Personal Interview
The stage II of IRMA admissions process consists of IRMA Written Ability Test (IWAT), and the Personal Interview (PI).
IRMA Written Ability Test (IWAT): Shortlisted candidates will be called for the next round of selection, where they will have to appear for a Written Ability Test on the day of their personal interview. Candidate will need to write about 200/300 words on a given topic. It is designed to evaluate a candidate’s rural aptitude as well as written communication skills.
Personal Interview (PI): Candidates shortlisted for interviews with IRMA faculty will be assessed on their managerial abilities, communication skills, and suitability for the Institute’s program. In view of the fact that the PGDM (RM) caters to a very specific clientele; namely organisations contributing to broad-based rural development in India, the candidate’s attitude towards rural management is of particular importance.
Personal Interview will be conducted in OFFLINE mode. Candidate will be given an option for centre of Personal Interview.
