Xavier Aptitude Test – XAT

XLRI conducts test on behalf of the XAMI. For more than 60 years XLRI is conducting test at all India level to select the most appropriate for management education. The test score is being used by more than 100 institutes for the admission.

Eligibility and Pattern of Examination

Eligibility

A candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university or a deemed university.
Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree and awaiting results can also apply.

Pattern of Examination

The test is multiple choice type and the duration will be of 3 hours.
The exam will be divided into 2 parts.

Part A will be of 2:20 hrs which consists of:

Quantitative Ability 25 Questions
English Language Ability & Logical Reasoning and 30 Questions
Decision Making. 36 Questions

Negative Marking: 1/4th of the marks allotted for every question
Number of options: 5
Part B of the exam comprises of:
Essay writing and General Awareness. Duration of this section is of 40 minutes. 40 Questions in General Awareness will be from Business, Economics and Politics related to Business Environment. Candidates have to attempt both essay as well as General Awareness

XAT is a paper based aptitude test, followed by a subjective test on essay writing & general awareness.
